Lilly Pulitzer Size 14

Ok, I admit I'm a roundy. I can barely squeeze into a Lilly 14. Why they discontinued the 16 we may never know....so for this reason I have been on a super diet..soup & salad only...this is a slow, slow death. I haven't had any bread in 2 weeks. OMG, How do the skinny girls manage?

There is this very skinny person at my husbands office and while I was visiting him last week the skinny person was talking to another person about her "diet". She is at least a size 0 maybe a 2 so I'm not sure why she's dieting.
Anyway, she says she scoops all the bread out of her bagels until she just has a shell & then lightly coats it with nonfat....fill in the blank, yuck!I'd rather be fat.

Back to the topic. I was getting my Ebay fix and I found a Lilly Newburry in 14! Yipee The seller has the faceted in a 12..no way i would fit..but the 14 is beautiful and I dont have to worry about all the beads falling off! Perfection
Here's the address if your interested she has 2 more Newburry 14
Her shop, I assume it's a she, is called Pink a Signature Store. Isn't that adorable.

Royal Pains

This show has only been on 2 times but I love it!

Tampa Bay Rays

Ok, I'm not sure how Preppy Baseball is but I found this Rays shirt on Ebay and it seemed so cool I thought I would share it. I have become a huge baseball fan over the past 2 or 3 years and now that my girlfriends are spread around the country it's cool to watch the games together. GO RAYS!

The Scoop

Helloooooo! My goodness, the LP Warehouse sale was the BEST time. I met CEO Scott A. Beaumont, very exciting. One of the many on my list of top CEO's.

The deals were amazing. As most of the posts about the sale note the first day is pretty crazy. The cashiers said there were people outside in tents. I actually got there about 1:45 & I had to wait in line for about an hour to get into the main room. By the time I got in there weren't any handbags, samples or clearence items left but there were tons of women with giant piles on the outskirts of the room trying things on and checking their prizes for defects. They still had tons of stuff left. I wanted to wait for the sale days to buy anything but I couldn't resist a white hoodie, a Colleen Dress & a pair of Colorful Life sandals.

I did get up super early friday (4 am) and got in line at 6am but there were only white patent McKims for $35 left. I had seen 1 pair of pink McKims on Thursday but they were gone :( Lesson learned. So I grabbed a hibiscus pink polo, a green t, a Kruger Cardigan, several childrens polos and several girls tunic dresses for my neices.

Sat was buy one get one free womens polos. I hadn't planned to go back because I had already exceeded my limit but I got lost in King of Prussia looking for the outlet. So I gave up and went back to the convention center. it was about noon and there were only xs Polos left. There were few dresses and tops, some swimwear, a lot of mens pants and childrens clothing. They also had boxes of stuffed monkeys. CUTE CUTE CUTE! I was hoping they would have a super secret 50% off sale to get rid of everything but no such luck....but the deals were already fab. I checked everything and the lowest markdown was 40% on 2009 Catalog dresses and there were only 3 styles in a few sizes. The rest was 60-70% even better if you went on a sale day.

I really wanted to look at sunglasses, handbags and jewelery but if there had been some they were gone by 2pm on the first day. There were a few bracelets at the checkout but they seemed to be damaged.

I must say I met a lot of interesting people from all over the country and my girlfriend even came down from Boston for the event. So if you have a chance I would say definately put this event on your calander!

Prep for the Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale

Hi there. I have been reading Hopsys' blog for a few weeks now and decided I would try it out too :)

53 Hours till the big sale. This is going to be my first time. I decided to go on Wed morning. I'm not a sample size so I'm hoping that those are the girls in line and there wont be too much competition for the fat chicks. Also I'm planning to stay till sat night to take advantage of the weekend specials. I've been trying to set a budget....but...uh.. anyhoo

I can't wait to see if they have the pink baskets again this year. I hope they let me carry it on the plane. If anyone has suggestions or tips I would love to hear from you!

I get in at 11 am via Southwest Airline to Philadelphia International from Tampa. They had a great web fare. I have all my stuff packed in my carryon & I'm taking 2 empty suitcases for my treasures.

I went to priceline and got a deal for $55 per night at the Hilton. I wanted to stay at Aloft but it was considerably more money that I could save and spend at the sale :) This is the first time I have used Priceline so I will give you an up date when I get back.

I checked out the transportation situation and I can take the bus but I think I might have trouble toting everything back and making the connections, so I rented a car. For those of you still in the planning stages Payless Car Rental has a midsize for $30 per day on their website. That was much less than the Expedia etc...

Ok, so that's my first post....I'm off to make my list of things to do before i hit the trail!
